Holly Austin in Year 5 has had her first year as a chorister in the Australian Girls Choir. Holly has been offered an accelerated promotion straight to the Concert Level of the Choir. This means she has skipped 2 entire levels (years) of the choir.
The normal procedure is that choristers are then a member of the Concert Level for a minimum of 12 months and after this time, they can be nominated by their Tutor to audition for the Performance Choir and other Senior Elite Performance Choir Groups. Holly’s family received another email on Monday advising that based on Holly's class work throughout this year, she has already been nominated to audition for the Senior Elite Performance Group in February 2018 and does not need to wait the normal 12 months to audition. This gives her the opportunity to audition to be a member of the Elite Senior Group at just 10 years of age and means she will have the opportunity to audition for roles and special parts that girls who are 18 years of age are also auditioning for.
Well done Holly for all your hard work this year! We are all very proud of you.
