Last week, 5 MAS students from years 7-10 competed in CyberTaipan. CyberTaipan is an Australian cyber security competition that puts teams of high school aged students in the position of newly hired IT professionals, tasked with managing the network of a small company.
On Wed 12 Aug Yr 10 students will be having vaccinations for Meningococcal ACWY. Vaccinations will start at 9am. Yr 10 students may wear sport uniform on this day. Deadline for vaccination cards is Mon 10 Aug.
I nominated Zoe Suthers in Year 6 for the Fred Hollows Humanity Award because she is a fabulous all-round, got it together, child. She is constantly helping around the school and volunteering for whatever is going on. She has a true servant heart.

Thanks to everyone who supported our Scarf and Beanie Day, helping to raise money for our 2019 Nepal Service Trip. Trekkers will be installing a BioGas Oven to assist with clean cooking in a remote village. The student's donations for the project will be very much appreciated.
Year 10 were privileged to see a production of Macbeth at the Seymour Centre today. It was a thrilling and captivating appropriation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth and a great way to close their studies on the topic.
As part of our 'Watch it Grow' Science unit, 2K have been looking at living and non-living things. Living things have life and can: grow, move, breathe, take in and use energy. "We planted snow pea seeds and are going to take care of them and watch our seeds change and grow".
Holly Austin in Year 5 has had her first year as a chorister in the Australian Girls Choir. Holly has been offered an accelerated promotion straight to the Concert Level of the Choir. This means she has skipped 2 entire levels (years) of the choir.
